The commanding officer of a bomber squadron was anxiously awaiting the return of his aircraft from an important bombing flight over Germany. All came back safely at last. Approaching tile last man in, he said: “Everything all right?" “No. sir." answered the sergeant-pilot concerned. "I'm sorry to hear that.” said the C.O. "What went wrong?" “The coffee was cold, and the sandwiches were very hard, sir," answered the pilot.
