JAPANESE RAIL SMASH

Reuter’s Osaka correspondent reports that two people were killed and 140 injured in a Japanese railway accident west of Osaka. A freight train hit a passenger train on a siding, flinging the locomotive and two wagons of the latter down the embankment. An electric train dashed into the wreckage crushing the derailed cars and their passengers.
