LONG DISTANCE CALL

The desert was dark and after a long time he ran slap into someone who picked him up. gave him a drink, and bade him return to the firing line. "Thanka you verra much, sergeant.” said the runaway.
"Sergeant!'’ exclaimed the other. Don’la you realise I lima da general.” "O solo rnio,” was the deserter's reilv, "I must have run a long way.”
