FEATHERSTON
GOLF CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) At the annual meeting of the Featherston Golf. Club, Mr J. W. Card presided. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, April 19, when a mixed foursome will be played, commencing at 1.30 p.m. It was decided to hold a working bee on Sunday, March 30, at 9 a.m. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. W. Card; vice-presidents, Miss H. Card, Messrs D. H. S. Riddiford, G. S. Sharp, W. H. Rowles, H.. R. Bloxam, N. C. Shepherd; auditor, Mr J. M. G. McKenzie; secretary, Mr J. B. Davis;, treasurer (pro-tem). Mr K. H. Allen; captain, Mr H. G. Lovegrove; vice-captain, Mr G. A. B. Hoby; management committee, Messrs H. McCarty, L. G. Benton, G. O’Neale and M. Benton; green superintendent, Mr H. G. Lovegrove; selectors and handicappers, captain, vicecaptain and secretary. The subscriptions were fixed the same as last year, viz., men £3, reducible to £2 10s; ladies, £1 ss. reducible to £1 Is; honorary, men £1 ss; ladies 10s Gd; junior members 7s Cd. It was decided to again insure all members, the insurance fee of Is 2d to be added to all subscriptions. Personal Items. Mrs H. Dryden, Paekakariki, is undergoing treatment at the Kelvin Hospital. Dr G. S. Sharp is visiting Auckland for a refresher course in radiology. Dr H. Budd is acting for him. Mrs McLean, Martinborough, is an inmate of Kelvin Hospital.
