Sheddon, Kennings (s). MAORI QUEEN MASTERTON PARTY ASSIST. A Masterton Maori Concert Party journeyed to Greytown on Wednesday evening, and gave an excellent performance in the town hall. The proceeds go ‘to the Maori Queen’s candidate (Miss Susie Pirere). During the evening Miss Pirere made her appearance in full Maori dress, Maori mat included. The Maoris gave some excellent displays of poi dances, hakas, etc. The Greytown Girl Guides assisted their items being well rendered. Mr. E. Kingi acted as announcer for the Maoris. Miss Royce Drysdale, the youngest Guide, acted as announcer for the Girl Guides. Personal Items. Mr. and Mrs. N. Langford will leave on a holiday tour on Monday. Aircraftsman K.
