A Greek communique states “offensive action by the enemy, accompanied by tanks, on the centre sector, and another action on the northern sector, have been repulsed. Prisoners were captured and four tanks were destroyed. An enemy company taking part in the fighting was cut off, caught between a crossfire of automatic rifles and artillery, and annihilated. “In Albania a R.A.F. bomber formation attacked military otbjectives at Tepelene and enemy motor transport,” a R.A.F. Middle East communique reports. “Both were bombed and machine gunned. Fires started and military buildings were left roofless.”
