Galloping on. a heavy track 80 feet out from the rails, Beau Vile covered seven furlongs in 1.341, the last halfmile in 53. Proud Fox completed the last three of a strong six furlongs in 401. The merit of these two efforts was shown later when the three-year-old Ensign, a really strong track-worker, took 531 for half a mile, and 40:; for the last three furlongs. High Caste and Tidal Wave, both good mud gallopers, took 53 and 55 respectively for their half-mile trials. No horse at Randwick appears to have done better in the last fortnight than .Proud Fox. Sir Amyas. The ex-Wingatui colt. Sir Amyas. has been awarded 7.5 in each of the races he has been engaged in the big Easter meeting in Sydney. They are the Doncaster Handicap, Sydney Cup and Warwick Farm Autumn Cup. Black Banner. Black Banner is standing up to his preparation in good style so far. He was given his first schooling task since being recommissioned a few days ago and gave a brilliant display of jump-i ing. Wild Career in Good Condition. Wild Career is holding his condition nicely and his track work points to him shaping prominently in his forthcoming engagements. Due for a Win. Southern Light has been second three times in his last, five starts and is due for a win. The Garnish gelding is training on nicely and his turn may ccme at the Birchwood Hunt, meeting this month. Mena’s Song Fit. Mona’s Song is bowling into her work in grand style and she bears a very fit. appearance.
