WOMEN’S INSTITUTE COMPETITION WINNERS. / ("Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute was held in the local hall recently. The report for March, 1941, was read by the secretary, Miss Owen. Mrs. Keir gave an interesting talk on institute activities.. Mrs. Keir also apologised for the absence of Mrs. Dagg, who was unable to attend. Each member of the institute helped provide cakes for the afternoon tea for the members of the Air Force Band. The competition winners were': Fruit squares, Mrs. Beck 1, Mrs. Speedy /2, Mrs. Thorby 3; apron, Mrs. Beck 1, Mrs. Street 2 and 3; flowers, Miss S. Atack 1, Miss E. McAlister 2, Mrs. Perry 3.
