PREPARED IN SYDNEY FOR AMERICAN NAVAL SQUADRON. ANTICIPATORY EXCITEMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) SYDNEY, March 19. Though the weather prospects are unpromising, Sydney is preparing a most enthusiastic welcome to the American naval squadron which is arriving at dawn and berthing at 8.30 a.m. The announcement of the visit in this morning’s Press caused a flutter of excitement in the metropolitan area. The Americans will be given the freedom of the city and free travel on all forms of transport. Hurried arrangements have been made to convey large parties to various resorts. The highlight of their visit will be a march through the city by 600 American sailors, supplemented by the same number of Australian infantry and naval and air force men.
