MESSAGE FROM THE KING. ARRIVAL OF NEW U.S.A. AMBASSADOR. LONDON, March 18. His Majesty the King, in a message read at the luncheon to Mr Winant, said: “The new Ambassador from the United States has come on his mission to us at a fateful moment in the history of our two countries. The warmth of our welcome to him will testify to the feelings that are uppermost in all of us today—our gratitude to the people he represents and admiration for the great statesman who stands at their head."
