WEDDING
HENSON—HOUSE. A wedding of much interest took place at St. Cuthbert's Church, Eketahuna, when Edna Joyce, eldest, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. J. House, Bonnie Vale, Howden, Tasmania, was married to Kenneth James, youngest son of Mrs and the late Mr W. Henson. Greenhills, Kaiparoro. The officiating minister was the Rev. L. Ives. The bride,' who was escorted by Mr J. J. Robinson in the absence of her' father, wore a picture frock modelled in Tasmania by Mrs G. Daymen, oi horizon blue satin taffeta with a becoming large cream hat of light straw trimmed with net and tiny blue flowers. The flowers in the sheaf carried were gladioli and begonias. The bride was attended by the bridegroom's nieces, Miss Joan Burton (bridesmaid) and little Shirley Braddick (flower girl), both of whom looked charming in frocks of salmon taffeta cut with heart shaped neck lines and full flared skirts, and carrying salmon and silver fans. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Philip Henson, as best man. A reception was held at the 'home of Mr and Mrs G. Braddick, who assisted the bridegroom’s mother to receive the guests. Later Mr and Mrs Henson left for a tour of the North Island, the bride wearing a grey costume.
