SALVATION ARMY
FAREWELL GATHERING. There was a large and representative attendance at the Salvation Army Hall, Masterton, last night, when a farewell was given to Miss Bernice Fairbrother, who will leave Masterton this week for the Salvation Army Training College, Wellington. Major Neeve presided. Songs were contributed by Mrs. Chapman (Christchurch) and Mr. Miller Hope gave pianoforte items. Mrs. Horne, representing the Songster Brigade; Bandmaster- Mason, representing the Junior Corps; and Major Robbins, representing the Senior Corps, paid tribute to the work of Miss Fairbrother. Miss Fairbrother was presented with a rug. Supper was served.
