DISCUSSION OF RECENT “REBELLIONS.” CONCERN FELT BY LEADERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright I (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, March 18. •A special meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party today discussed recent rebellions within the party. Labour members of the Government have been disturbed by several developments. For instance, eighteen Labour members of Parliament opposed the official party policy and voted against the recent Means Test Bill. Also Labour unexpectedly demanded a free vote on the Wai- Appointments Bill, despite the fact that the Labour leaders in the Government sponsored the Bill.

The question discussed today was the future attitude of the party, which is an integral part of the Coalition Government, but also is an entity. Mr Aneurin Bevan, Mr Edwards and others associated with recent rebellions attended.
