MASTERTON STOCK SALE
BIDDING OPENS SLOWLY. A slow start was made with the selling of a fair yarding at the Masterton stock sale today. There is a good attendance. About 1500 head of sheep will be sold this afternoon for patriotic funds. Early prices are: F.m. ewes, 4s 9d; b.f. ewes, Ils 9d; woolly wether lambs, 9s 3d; fat wethers, 20s lOd; porkers, £2; weaners, 12s, Ils, Bs, ss.
