Good Win for White Rajah. Don’t Forget carted the field along in the Hutt Handicap at Trentham on Saturday at a cracking pace, and only those with stamina coming from the back had anything left in them at the finish. Circular Note first of all came through on the rails and was clear at the last furlong, but White Rajah, finishing wide out on the track, gathered him in and won going away. His win was the surprise of the day. Kathbella, also finishing strongly, just failed to head Circular Note for second. Shikari, always handy, was fourth. The favourite. Don't Forget, weakened to sixth. A Keen Finish. There was a keen finish in the sixhorse Autumn Handicap at Trentham on Saturday between the two lightweights, Piastre and The Ring. The pace was slow, Hunting Cat going out in front from Belle Cane and The Ring, and then Trench Fjght and Piastre, with Wardress trailing. Belle Cane and The Ring went up to the leader at the three, and The Ring ran to the front at the false rail, where Piastre challenged. In a ding-dong go Piastre got in the last stride at the post. Wardress finished over Belle Cane for the minor placing. Belle Cane pulled very hard for the first six furlongs. Manawatu Rehandicaps. Mr H.
