CONCLUDING DAY AT TRENTHAM \ Chief Race to Piastre EFFORTLESS WIN FOR KINDERGARTEN WHITE RAJAH SALUTES JUDGE (BY “THE GRAFTER.’’) At Trentham on Saturday Piastre, an outsider, had a narrow victory over The Ring in the Autumn Handicap, while Kindergarten had an exercise gallop in the New Zealand St. Leger Stakes. The Masterton horse White Rajah won the Hutt Handicap. At Ohinemuri the Cup was won by Clinch, and the Netherton Hack Handicap by Chain Acre.

FINAL DAY RESULTS AUTUMN HANDICAP TO PIASTRE. A WIN FOR WHITE RAJAH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. March 16. The Wellington Racing Chib broke another record at Trentham on Saturday, the second and concluding day of its autumn meeting. The totalisator turnover for the day was the largest, ever handled at an autumn fixture. This was particularly remarkable as there was one two-horse race and only six in the main handicap. Racing was held in ideal conditions, the weather being fine and mild with a slight breeze from the south. The attendance "Was large and the totalisator handled £82.847 (win £36.522: place £46.325) compared with £78.302 10s on the second day last year, an increase of £4.544 10s.
