GAINED BY GREEK FORCES IN ALBANIA STRONG ENEMY ATTACKS REPELLED. HEAVY ARTILLERY FIRE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, March 12. A further series of Italian attacks and Greek counter-attack has resulted in complete success for the Greeks. The Italian forces were in greater strength than anything the Greeks had previously encountered, but the Greeks themselves had never before attacked with such a powerful concentration, nor with such heavy artillery fire. A communique from the headquarters of the British forces in Greece today, states: —“Troops in movement and motor transport on the Glava-Busi Road were attacked by an R.A.F. bomber formation yesterday, but the full results of the raid were not observed owing to low cloud. Our fighters intercepted a large formation of enemy fighters in the central sector of the front and five enemy planes were definitely shot down and a number of others severely damaged. All our machines returned safely.”
