ROTARY CLUB

BUSINESS AT WEEKLY MEETING. The weekly luncheon of the Masterton Rotary Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms today, the president, Mr P. F. Fagan, being in the chair. There was a good attendance of members. Mr Fagan reported briefly on the Rotary Conference which had just concluded in Wellington, at which eight of the club’s members had been present. He referred to various aspects of Rotary which had been covered' at the conference, stating that it was particularly pleasing to see the way Rotarians throughout New Zealand were pulling their weight in the present world conditions. The speaker for the day was Mr W. . Martin, B.Sc., F.R.G.S., headmaster of the Carterton District High School, who spoke on New Zealand flora, with particular reference to its origin and distribution. (A report of Mr Martin's address appears on page 4). Mr F. E. Wells said club members had enjoyed Mr Martin's informative address and on behalf of the club, he moved a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker.
