AMERICAN DOCTOR TO TAKE CHARGE. CHUNGKING, March 11. An authoritative source announced that Dr John Earl Baker, formerly of the American Red Cross, has been appointed director of the KunmingBurma Transportation. Bureau, controlling the Burma Road. Dr Baker’s task will be to keep the route operating smoothly and eliminate graft and corruption.
