MEETING OF MASTERTON WOMEN’S SECTION. FUNCTION IN Y.M.C.A. ON WEDNESDAY. The women’s section of the Masterton branch of the National Party will hold the first meeting this year at the Y.M.C.A. at 2.30 o’clock on Wednesday, March 19. The function will take the form of an informal talk of general interest. The speaker will be Mrs Duncan Simpson. Marton, who was a passenger on the Rangitane, on the vessel’s last voyage to New Zealand. Mrs Simpson, who is well known in the Rangitikei district, has taken an active part in all women’s organisations. It is stated that she is an interesting speaker and will tell of her trip and of war precautions in England. Mrs Simpson will also speak on the part played by women in London's war effort.

An invitation is extended to the public to be present and members of local war-time organisations will possibly gain useful information.
