NETHERLANDS BONDS
DECREE DEFERS REDEMPTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The Netherlands Consulate announces that a royal decree, issued last August, defers redemption of and payment of interest on Netherlands Government bonds (not including the Netherlands West Indian Government debt) until the Netherlands Government has acquired a clearer insight into the amount outstanding in Allied and neutral countries. The reason for this action is to prevent the enemy from benefitting directly or indirectly from any payment. It is neccesary fo"r holders of these bonds in New Zealand to have them and their relative interest coupons registered at the Netherlands Consulate in Wellington.
