DRAWING FROM LIFE

MASTERTON ART CLUB BEGINS ACTIVITIES. GOOD ATTENDANCE LAST NIGHT. Drawing from life was the form taken by the first club night of the now Masterton Art Club, held in the club rooms. Bannister Street, last night. There was an attendance of about 20 members, to some of whom life drawing was a new field. Creditable results were obtained which, in the opinion of the club’s co-director. Mr S. B. Maclemlan, A.R.C.A.. hold promise of progress in this basic essential of art. A programme for the next six months was submitted by Mr Maclennan and members agreed that this interestingly varied schedule should be carried out. The next fortnightly club evening will be on Thursday. March 27. beginning at 7.30 p.m. Supper served by the social committee concluded the gathering.
