Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 86.3 degrees on 23rd (86.6); absolute shade minimum, 39.3 degrees on 17 th (36.8). Thus the range was 47 (49.8). Mean temperature for the month, 62.95 (62.6). Absolute grass minimum, 30.9 on 17th (29.3); average grass minimum, 43.5 (44.9); ayerage at one foot underground, 65.6 (65.2). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr, or lower), nil (1); of shade temperature below 32 degrees Fahr., nil (nil); of gale, 2 (14). Total rainfall, 3.83 inches on 10 days (1.85); greatest fall, 209 points on 13th (46). Total sunshine, 244 hours (243.2); daily average, 8.7; sunniest day, Ist, 13.9 hours (13.6); wind run, 2177 miles (4207); average, 77.8.
