RECEIVED FROM VICHV GOVERNMENT PRESENTED TO MR MATSUOKA. PEACE AGREEMENT NEGOTIATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, March 10. The French Ambassador to Tokio, M. Arsene-Henry, visited the Foreign Minister, Mr Matsuoka, and delivered Vichy’s final instructions, following which the conclusion of the peace parley in the Indo-China-Thai dispute is expected shortly. It will be either a formal or provisional signing of the agreement. It is authoritatively reported in Saigon that about 400 Japanese bombers are now in Tonking. The French Press in Saigon for the first time advocates the surrender of the disputed territories. Authoritative Indo-China circles ridiculed claims that the French had violated the armistice with. Thailand, and said that unimportant fighting had occurred at one place on the frontier.
FRONTIER VIOLATIONS REPORTED BY THAI HIGH .COMMAND. OCCURRENCES AT THREE POINTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) BANGKOK, March 10. The Thai High Command notified Japan today that French troops violated the Indo-China-Thai armistice agreement at three points, on the frontier on Friday and Saturday, threatening the procedure of mediation efforts in Tokio. FRENCH REPLY THAILAND TROOPS CAPTURE GUARDS. (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) SAIGON, March 10. French officials, replying to Thailand charges of violations of the armistice said the Thailand troops were more guilty than the French forces as Thailand troops had crossed into French territory, capturing guards.
