President Roosevelt has sent a message to farmers on the eighth anniversary of the New Deal farm programme. "United States agriculture is in a splendid condition to play a full part in national defence,” he states. "Our granaries are full, our stores of food and fibre are adequate to meet needs at home and the needs of friends in other lands fighting for their existence on behalf of all democratic forms. The Government is against world control by dictators.
