CHURCH SERVICES

At the morning and evening services at Knox Church tomorrow the Holy Communion will be celebrated. These services and those at Kaituna and at Solway will- be conducted by the Rev John Davie. Student E. O. Thomson, from the Bible Training Institute, Auckland, will be the speaker at the Masterton Baptist Fellowship service to be held in the Y.M.C.A. building tomorrow morning At 10 a.m. Sunday School will be conducted and the Young Men’s Bible Class will resume. The week night service will be held on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. when the Rev. E. Batts, of the Lower Hutt Baptist Church, will preside. At the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church a communion service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow and also at the close of the 7 p.m. service. Communion will be celebrated at Eketahuna at 3 p.m. The Rev. D. McNeur will be the minister at all services. Archdeacon Rich will be the preacher at all services at St Matthew’s Church tomorrow. The Rev H. Taepa will preach at Kuripuni and the Rev V. W. Joblin at Bideford in the afternoon and at Upper Plain in the evening. Harvest thanksgiving services will be held at the Masterton Methodist Church tomorrow. The Rev H. S. Kings will conduct both services. The subject jr? the morning will be "The Crown of the Year,” and in the evening "The Harvest of the Years.” Special music appropriate to the occasion will be rendered by the choir. Miss D. Jamison will be the soloist. There will be an afternoon service at Rangitumau. and the evening service at Kuripuni will be conducted by Mr C. R. Goudge. Bright meetings are anticipated at the Salvation Army on Sunday. Major and Mrs Neeve will be in charge. The happy family gathering will be held m the morning and in the evening the feature will be the bright congregational singing. Seasonable addresses will be given.
