LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY
AMALGAMATION WITH PLAY READERS. NEW OFFICERS ELECTED. The Masterton Little Theatre Society and the Masterton Play Readers have amalgamated. Following a decision to this effect at the annual meeting of the Little Theatre Society a combined meeting was held and officers appointed for the new society, which will be known as the Masterton Little Theatre Society. Officers elected were: President, Mr H. Mackenzie Douglas; vice-president, Mrs E. J. Rich; hon. treasurer, Mr Kent Johnston; hon. secretary, Mr E. K. Eastwood; hon. auditors, Messrs Low and Cunningham; committee. Misses Jean Douglas, B. Francis, Messrs N. M. Irwin. V. Joseph, J. A. Kennedy and C. Kyngdon. The committee was authorised to bring down a report on rules and club activities. It was stated that the society would present a play, “Without A Prince.” in the Opera House on March 15 and 17. The proceeds of the first night would go to the Navy-Nursing Queen and those on the second night to the Army Queen.
