NURSES’ ASSOCIATION
WAIRARAPA BRANCH. MONTHLY" MEETI NG. The monthly meeting cf the Wairarapa branch of the Trained Nurses' Association was held during the week in the Nurses’ Home at the Masterton Hospital. Miss M. Barnett (president) presided over a large attendance. An interesting account of the business transacted at the Nurses’ Conference held in Wellington was given by the delegates, Misses Barnett. Higginson. Brown and Perry. It was decided to commence at once a fund to provide comforts for nurses returning unfit from overseas, and a special effort will be made by the association to build this up during the year. Among those present were Miss E. Williams, the newly appointed Child Welfare Officer for the Wairarapa; Miss K. Craig, who had come to fill the position of District Health Nurse, and Miss R. McGuinness, afternoon supervise!’ at the Masterton Hospital. Supper was served.
Mrs W. James thanked the delegates for their interesting address and Miss Barnett for having presided at the meeting.
