rongokokako meeting. COMPETITION WINNERS. ("Times- Arc" Special.) The Rongokokako Women’s Institute held their first meeting for the year recently at the home of Mrs S. Smith. Mrs J. P. Sigvertsen presiding over a large attendance of members and several visitors. After the business had been dealt with all spent a very pleasant afternoon in the beautiful garden, where a treasure hunt and games were indulged in. Mrs Goggin and Miss A. Schultz were appointed delegates to attend the Federation meeting in Pahiatua. Nominations were taken for the new committee. Mrs W. O’Neil was presented with a sum of money for her baby s bank account. Competitions during the afternoon resulted as follows:— Rag mat. Mrs B Morriss. 1: rucked cushion. Mrs F. Baucke. 1; Miss D. Nagel .2. Best flower. Miss E. Sigvertsen ihyderangea) 1; Miss D. Nagel (petunia) 2. The treasure was won by Miss U. Payne. Afternoon tea was served, and the president thanked Mrs Smith foi the use of her home. The singing of the National Anthem brought an enjoyable gathering to a close.
