Store lambs formed the main portion of the sale at Feilding today, a yarding of about 9000 head coming forward. The sale was keen and practically everything was sold under the hammer. Fat sheep: A light entry was offered and all but ewes made late rates. Ewes went back considerably in price. Prime wethers made 225. lOd. to 255. 7d„ medium prime 20s. Id. to 21s. 10d.; best hoggets 19s. Id., light 17s. 10d.; prime lambs 235. 4d. to 235. 10d., unfinished 17s. 10d.; prime ewes 12s. 4d. to 12s. lOd. light 10s. to Ils. Id. Store sheep: All lambs sold particularly well despite the heavy entry. Good wether lambs brought 17s. 9d. to 19s. 2d., second grade 14s. 6d. to 16s. Bd., small 10s. 9d. to 13s. 9d.; black-face lambs, good 16s. 3d. to 17s. 9d„ others 15s. to 15s. 3d.; ewe lambs, best 20s. to 225. 7d.. fair 17s. Bd. to 18s. 7a., small 14s. 9d. to 165.; two-tooth ewes 265. 2d. to 305.; five and six-year ewes 13s. 6d. to 16s. 6d.
Fat cattle: There was a keen sale for beef and a total clearance of a fairsized yarding. Medium prime oxen realised £9 7s. 6d. to £9 17s. fid.. others £7 12s. fid. to £8 12s. fid.; prime cows £7 7s. fid. to £7 17s. 6d.. light £5 12s. 6d. to £6 12s. fid., ex dairy £4 7s. 6d. tis £5 7s. fid.: runners £7 10s.: vealers £2 10s. to £5 2s. fid.
