This Day. i The Reserve Bank announced that | the New Zealand Stock Exchange As- ' sociation has been informed that faciliI ties enabling the holders of Broken ! Hill Proprietary shares to take up the i new rights to which they are directi ly entitled have been extended on the I following lines: — i Holders of Broken Hill Proprietary shares who desire to acquire rights which other New Zealand holders are willing to dispose of will be allowed to do so. on condition that they can provide the amount . payable in Australia for such additional rights, as well as for the rights to which they are directly entitled, out of the proceeds of ’heir balances or other securi- : ties in Australia without having rc- [ course to remittances from New Zea- : land. The Reserve Bank will, however, [consider applications to retransfer to j Australia for above purpose amounts ■ voluntarily transferred to New Zea-) i land since June 18. 1940. if the appli-j [cants’ financial position in Australia] j justifies such a course.
