LATE CHIEF SCOUT
NATIONAL MEMORIAL SERVICE ARRANGED IN WELLINGTON. NE W GOVE RNOR- G E N E R Al. MAY ATTEND. I By Telegraph—Press Association, i WELLINGTON. This Day. The Dominion Chief Scout, Marshal of the Royal .Air Force, Sir Cyril Newall, the new Governor-General, may attend the national Boy Scout and Girl Guide memorial service to the late Lord Baden-Powell, Chief Scout and founder of the movement. The service, which will be u f a solemn religious character, will take place at the Wellington Town Hall on the afternoon <>( Sunday, February 23. Arrangements for the service have nut yet been finally completed However, an invitation has been issued tn Sir Cyril by the Dominion Headquarters of the Buy Scout .Association. Whether he will accept the invitation will not be known till his ..nival in New Zealand a few days beforehand, but if he diws. this will probably be] his first public appearance in the Do-1 minion. it is expected that the Archbishop of] Wellington, the Rt. Rev H Si. Barbe Holland, will officiate at the service. : assisted by other clergy, and will tie- ! liver the address' in memory of the lair Chief Scout. 'file Prime Minister.
