I ♦"" MEETING OF MASTERTON ■ BRANCH. The first meeting of the year of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union, Masterton branch, was held in the Rest Room. King Street. Mrs C. C. Jackson presided over a good attendance of members. After the reading of the correspondence, the members, standing, passed a resolution of sympathy with the relatives of Lady Perry, a life member. Mrs James Coe and Miss Strang. Mrs Jackson gave a short address i on the Pan Pacific Women’s Associa- ' tion meeting last week in Wellington, i It was decided to send the usual annual subscription. Mesdames A. lorns and J. Gray were appointed delegates to the Air Force Queen Committee. They were instructed to inform the committee that the branch was willing to provide for and hold a shop day on February 28 at the Air Raid shelter. Queen Street, in aid of the Air Force Queen. Mrs Barren a member of the co-or-dinating committee asked for arrangements to be made for Miss Cock-John-son’s visit in May. Miss Cock-Johnson is tutor in all branches of gardening, horticulture and cultivation of fruit and vegetables. The shop day held in the morning did brisk business and the proceeds were handed over to the Air Force Queen committee. A number of parcels were prepared for handing over to the Women’s Patriotic Committee.
