EKETAHUNA SALE. SATISFACTORY DEMAND. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale as follows:—A good entry of sheep was submitted to a fair attendance of local buyers. Although competition was not so keen as at the previous sale there was quite a satisfactory demand and a clearance was effected at the following prices:—Good b.f. rape lambs. 175.. 15s. lOd. to 15s. 3d. Good woolly wether lambs. 165.. 155., to 14s. lOd. Woolly ewe lambs 20s. 6d„ 18s. Shorn wether lambs to 12s. 6d.. two-tooth wethers 19s. to 18s. 6d„ cull lambs. ss. to Bs. CARTERTON SALE. GOOD ENQUIRY FOR SHEEP. Messrs. Wright. Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report as follows on their Carterton sale yesterday. There was a big offering of sheep, while cattle and pigs were not up to last sale in numbers. The enquiry for sheep was good, and although the majority comprised small lambs, these sold particularly well. Cattle were slightly easier. Pigs sold at late rates. Sheep—Fat b.f.’s. 235. 2d. to 235. 10d.. fat ewes, 12s. 7d.. 13s. 3d., to 14s. 6d.; Fat wethers, to 225. 6d.; fat lambs, 19s. Id.. 19s 3d., to 235. 10d.. two- and fourtooth wethers, to 19s. 6d : two-tooth wethers. 18s. Bd.. 195.. to 19s. 3d.: b.f. lambs, 155.. 15s. 4d.. 15s. 10d., 17s. 6d.. to 17s.
