YOUNG FARMERS
MEETING OF LOCAL CLUB. AN INTERESTING LECTURE. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Young Farmers’ Club was held in the Farmers' Rooms last night. There was a fair attendance of members. It was decided to make the junior class age limit 18 years for the annual field day. As four members of the executive were leaving for Territorial Camp. Messrs D. Buick and D. McLachlan were appointed temporarily to the executive committee and as the club’s delegates to the Wairarapa executive annual meeting. It was decided to invite members of the Wairarapa College agricultural classes to the next meeting. The club is to give its full support to the Air Force Queen. The lecturer for the meeting was Mr N. Lamoni, his address being on "Topdressing." Mr Lamont particularly stressed the seriousness of cobalt deficiency and the various ways 01 overcoming it especially by top-dressing This matter proved particularly interesting as it was new to most members, After the meeeting supper was served.
