ROADMAN’S DEATH
TRAGEDY AT BLAiRLOGIE. VICTIM FOUND IN WHARE. John Hogan, aged 56 years, a single man employed as a roadman at Blairlogie by the Masterton County Council. was found dead in his wharc this morning, with his throat cut. The discoven' was made following the finding this morning of a note addressed to the mailman. Mr Ivan Gray, who communicated with the police. Constable Nalder proceeded to the Scene and on entry being made into the wharc, which was kicked. Hogan was found dead on the floor. The late Mr Hogan had been employed as a roadman by the county for about fifteen years. He was very popu-! lar with his fellow-workers and with' residents of the district and was held! in high respect by members and cxecu-l tive officers of the Masterton County] Council.
