Mr. G G. Barclay, Minister of Agriculture. is visiting the South Island. The Rev. T. V. Pearson, of Masterion. has been appointed to take charge of the Featherston parish for the time being. The present Vicar of Featherston, the Rev. J. F. Holland, is going into camp.

The funeral of the late Mrs M. Scott took place in Masterton on Saturday. The Rev. T. V. Pearson conducted the service at the residen.ee and that at the graveside. Besides many others, a wreath was sent by the Wairarapa branch of the Solway College Old Girls’ Association. Messrs L. P. Morris. N. Harding F. Palmer. C. Harding. E. Wilton and A. Southey acted as pallbearers.
