HAILE SELASSIE’S RETURN TO HIS COUNTRY. FORMER LEAGUE DELEGATE’S MISSION. LONDON. January 30. A special despatch from Emperor Haile Selassie’s headquarters m Abyssinia states that, silling in a camouflaged army tent. Haile Selassie revealed how from his house in Bath. England. he kept a linger on the pulse of Abyssinia and planned his repatriation. "I am relieved and pleased to return to my own people, to share their ordeals and triumphs till victory.' he said.
It is revealed that Lorenzo T.tezaz, the former Abyssinian delegate to the League of Nations slipped through the Italian lines last year under an assumed name and remained for five months. The Italians claimed they had killed Tavzaz. but he withdrew unharmed, bringing most valuable reports.
