CAUGHT BY R.A.F. PLANES IN ALBANIA ONE ITALIAN MACHINE SHOT DOWN. SEVERAL OTHERS DAMAGED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 1.10 p.m.) RUGBY, January 29. Details of the action in Albania mentioned in a R.A.F. Middle East communique are given in an announcement issued by the headquarters of the R.A.F. in Greece. It states: “A formation of our fighters engaged on offensive patrol in south Albania yesterday encountered a number of enemy bombers. Our aircraft at once attacked and shot down one enemy bomber in flames, while several others were damaged. The enemy formation was broken up and successfully deflected from its target. AH our planes returned safely.”
