INTOXICATED MOTORIST

OFFENDER FINED £l5. LICENCE ALSO CANCELLED. In the Masterton Magistrate's Court this morning a charge of intoxication while in charge of a motor car on the Te Ore Ore Road on December 24 was made against Gorden Cannon, who pleaded guilty. Senior-Sergeant G. A.' Doggett said the charge arose out of an accident in which, defendant's ear left the road and capsized into a deep pool on the side of the road at Te Ore Ore. Defendant was very fortunate to bo alive.

The Magistrate, Mr. IL P. Lawry. imposed a fine of £l5 and costs, and defendant’s driving licence was cancelled and he was prohibited from getting another for twelve months.
