NEW ZEALANDER IN LIST OF PROMOTIONS. •By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright? LONDON, January 28. Eight new air commodores include the New Zealander. Group Captain C. R. Carr. He joined the Fleet Air Arm in 1915 and served in France ana North Russia, where he gained the D.F.C. He was a flying officer with Shackleton’s last expedition. He broke the world’s non-stop record in 1927.
