STREET CONCERT TONIG HT. In connection with the Army Queen activities to swell the Provincial Patriotic Funds a grand raid will be made in Queen Street tonight at 7.30 o'clock by the Te Ore Ore Maori Party, headed by Mrs Te Tau and orchestra. The public is assured of an unusual programme of entertainment, A novelty feature will also be operated under the direction of the R S A. SATURDAY'S ACTIVITIES. On Saturday afternoon, commencing at 1.30 o’clock a huge bottle drive will be made throughout the town. The drive will be made with the co-opera-tion of the local Boy Scout Troop and residents are asked to leave their old bottles at their gates for easy collection. MARBLE CHAMPIONSHIP. A Wairarajxi Marble Championship will be held in the Municipal Hall at an early date arid intending competitors are asked to send ‘heir entries In at once to Mr S V, Gooding Queen Street.
