PATRIOTIC SOCIETY 1 SUCCESSFUL CARD PARTY. ! — i ("Times-Age" Special.) The winners at the card party or Saturday evening conducted by the PatrioTTc Society were: Ladies, Mrs Rolls 1 Miss E. Mclean 2; men. Mr G. i Godinagh I. Mr Low and Mr Akel tied j for second place, and Mr Akel forfeit- ’ ed to Mr Low. i Flowers and vegetables donated by i Mrs A. Weston wore sold for 8s 6d. | Four cockerels given by Mrs R. Low '.for competition realised £1 16s and i were won by Miss B. Napier. Mr H. Percy gave a tin of honey for 1 competition. This competition will be finalised at the next card party The takings amounted to £5 Is. The gathering was a very enjoyable and successful one. Mrs Harcombe and Misses E. Mclean and M. Heckler were the hostesses. Personal Items. Miss Beryl is the guest of Mrs G. Napier. Mrs Algie is spending a few days at the Akitio Beach. Horse Sports Committee. The annual meeting of the Horse Sports Committee was hold recently when it was decided to hold the sports on Saturday. March 8. The proceeds) are to go to the patriotic funds. ;
