FACTORIES BOMBED
RAF. ATTACK ON HANOVER I LARGE FIRES STARTED. ALL PLANES RETURN SAFELY. — An Air Ministry communique transmitted by the 8.8. G. reports that a small force of British bombers attacked industrial targets in Hanover early yesterday morning. Two large tires and several smaller ones were started. All our planes returned safely. RAIDER SHOT DOWN AFTER CROSSING COAST OF ENGLAND. NO BOMBING OF LONDON FOR A WEEK. An enemy bomber was shot down yesterday afternoon after crossing the east coast of England, the 8.8. C. states. Before being shot down the enemy plane had dropped bombs, killing some people and doing some damage to buildings. Earlier yesterday some bomb' were dropped on east coast and north-east coast towns. Little damage was done, but a few persons were seriously injured. On Sunday night no bombs were dropped in England though a few enemy aircraft came over. London has now had a week free from raids.
