ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS HEART OF OAK LODGE. ("Times- Age” Special.) N.G. Sister F. Eagle prosified over the fortnightly meeting of Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge held last evening, Sick pay totalling £3 ss, including Social Security sick benefit, was passed for payment. The Grand Secretary wrote forwarda memorandum for District Secretaires and lodge secretaries regarding War Members' Relief. New Rule 28A; also forms for members going on active service overseas. The District Secretary wrote staling that the rnnual District Conference would be held at Loyal Victoria Diamond Lodge Room, Levin, on Saturday, March 1. and soliciting nominations for District Office; also that the District Secretary would be i esigning his office at the conference. The lodge nominated the following officers: —Grand Master, P.G. Bro. C. O. Jorgenson; Deputy Grand Master. P. Bro. R. Farrow; District Manage-] ment Committee. P.G. Bros. R. Farrow. R. Baikic and G. S. Bruce. It was announced that P.G. Bro. A. I R. Steffert. who is on active service in j England was at time of writing on ] leave in Scotland. He was in good j health and sent his best wishes to his j many Carterton friends. SWIMMING CLUB LAST NIGHT’S GATHERING. | Good conditions prevailed last even-j ing when the Carterton Amateur! Swimming Club held a meeting. There was a fair attendance and the gathering was a most successful one. Some excellent finishes were witnessed.
