FEATHERSTON
SWIMMING BATHS PROVIDED AT CROSS CREEK. (“Times-ztge" Special.) Some weeks ago the residents of Cross Creek decided to make a swimming bath. The pool has now been finished, being fed from a natural creek. The baths are proving a great boon during the hot weather, particularly amongst the children. Personal Items. Miss Cath Bargh. Pihautea. is visiting relatives in Petone. Miss I. Paget. Christchurch, who had been visiting Pahiatua. is now staying with Mr and Mrs Juno. Pihautea. Mr Dimes. Wellington, is the guest of Mr F. Siemonek, Kahutara. Mrs Thwaites, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs Juno. Miss Pat Sullivanr, Kahutara Road, has returned from a visit to Levin. Miss Belinda Williams is the guest of Mrs Chas Elgar, Fernside. Miss Joan Scott, Auckland, is the guest of Miss Nancv Hatton. Hay Destroyed by Fire. Mr T. Burt. Kahutara Road, had' the misfortune to lose 260 bales of i hay through fire, caused by the trac-' lor back-firing while sweeping hay in. Mr Fenwick's sweep was also! badly damaged.
