'I he chairman, in moving ; vote of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr Walden, said that Mr Walden had been a valued member of the Trust for over 20 years. The motion was carried. The Greytown Borough Council forwarded a copy of a demolition order, the case in connection with which will be heard at the next sitting of the Magistrate's Court on January 29. It was decided to dispose of the balance of the pine trees on the sou'. 11 side of the Recreation Reserve. Hospital Sister Entertained. A pleasant function was held in the Fire Brigade Hall last evening when the staff of the Greytown Hospital entertained Sister Elmers, who is to bo married shortly. Dr Gilkey, on behalf of the staff, presented Sister Elmers with a silver tea service, and conveyed the good wishes of the staff to her. Mr J. F. Thompson extended good wishes on behalf of the Hospital Board. Mr Brian Sheet replied on behalf of Sister Elmers. The mpsic for the dancing was supplied by Mr S. To Tan and Mr G. F. Egar carried out the duties of M.C. Personal Items. Miss P. Gully, of Nelson, is visiting her sister. Mrs H. A. Simonck. Main Street. Mr and Mrs F. Best left today on a holiday visit to Wanganui.
