So far the, I perfect weather which was experienc-j I cd by the Business Girls' Camp which; ! was held immediately before this one. j I has continued, and the children are re- j I veiling in the joys of pulling out their' . beds and sleeping on the lawns in iron' | cf the grandstand. i ! Swimming tennis, dramatics, music; | and nature study fill the day with ac-1 I tivity for both mind and body. Rest' period is strictly observed between 1.30 I land 3.30 p.m.. but at any other time the j I camp director would be delighted to I ’ welcome visitors from the district. The! . townspeople have shown a great inter- j Jest in the camp and gifts of (lowers j I fruit and vegetables have been receivi cd with much delight at the thought- > fulness of these people. Otte evening! . 1 during the last camp Mr. Stidolph gave. ! a lantern lecture on native birds: the; ;: elder girls felt the pleasure of identify•’ing and knowing more about the New | II Zealand birds and it is hoped to see ' j him again at this camp. •i It is also hoped that many more of I lithe residents will call and see for! .! themselves to what excellent use the' ; showground is being pul. and how it is . ■ I serving in the development of such a; ■ : large number of children.
