C. today heard tile explosion oi uno bomb. The announcer had begun the sentence: "The talk tonight will," when there was a smothered sound'and the announcer paused momentarily. A voice was heard saying: "It's all right" and the announcer continued according to the programme. The studios of Broadcasting House, numbering at least twenty, are still out of action. Programmes. including world-wide broadcasts in thirty languages, have continued without interruption from t c inpora ry prem i scs.
The casualties include the Director of Programmes. Mr B. E. Nicholls, who is seriously injured.
