DAMAGE TO BREMEN

The Sunday edition of a Bremen newspaper the Bremen Nachrichten” ci nfirmed British reports that there were three extremely heavy British raids a- last weekend. Nineteen persons were killed ami 'ltd wounded, said the newspaper. The weather was to the advantage of the R.A F. consequently factories and warehouses were hit and large scale fires caused, also there was considerable destruction in many parts of the city. The newspaper concludes with an appeal to the inhabitants, reading:
"Bremen today is fighting in the front lines and this demands sacrifices and courage."
